BRAKES

What it is and brakes serve?

The braking system is allowing us to stop the vehicle in any circumstance, whether expected or not. A braking system in good condition enable us to react and stop the vehicle safely.

The braking system consists of the following elements;

· Brake pads. They are the most important parts and suffer more wear because they are subjected to pressure which the disk.

· Brake discs. It is the element that supports the higher temperatures due to the friction produced. Dissipate the heat generated.
· Tweezers and cables. They are aids that help the system to work properly.
· Brake fluid and hoses. It is the element that transmits the force we do on the pedal braking systems. It is channeled through the sleeves.
· Parking break. Thanks to a cable system is activated. You must be well stretched to act effectively.

· Vehicles can also be equipped with drums and shoes, system in which the friction pads stop the movement against the drum.

SYSTEM DRUM DISCOSISTEMA

How I can know if there is a problem with the brakes?

Basically most modern cars have a warning light on the dashboard that tells us when you get to wear indicator. But we can guess when brake problems;

· When we notice the brake pedal travel is harder or softer than usual.
Increases braking distance.
· We noticed vibrations and / or squealing under braking.
· Loss of fluid in the brake.

Circular brake pads spoiled contribute to premature damage discs and run an unnecessary risk to our security.

When should I check the brakes?
FAUSTO JORGE recommends checking the pads every 10,000 kms and 20,000 kms each disc or once a year. The brake fluid should be changed every 40,000 miles or 2 years.
Wear varies depending on the type of driving, the general condition of the vehicle, tires, cargo that we carry.

DISTIBUTION

What is and what is the distribution?

The timing belt operates the motor to the circular transmitting or camshafts movement, actuated valves intake or exhaust. Also they trigger other elements that are part of the distribution kit.

The kit consists of a set of bearings and tensioners and in some cases the water pump.

When should I check the distribution?

A fault in the timing belt can we generated an even larger engine failure, which is recommended to prevent rather than cure and change it when appropriate.

The timing belt is a key element in the mechanics of our vehicle. Usually it should be changed every 5 years or 100,000 kilometers, but this figure will vary depending on the car model, being very important not to exceed this period but have not done the 100,000 km.

It is important to bring the car to check the condition of the belts and the following questions:

- If we make frequent short trips at low temperature.
- If we deliver door to door.
- If we live in warm places with temperatures of + 30 degrees.
- If we make sporty driving
- If we live in cold places with temperatures of -15 degrees.
- If you drag a caravan or trailer.
- If we live in places with dusty areas.
- If we use fuel oil or low quality.

Should happen to you the above, the belt wear will be greater and, therefore, must be replaced earlier.

It is also important to have the change water pump, when this is part of the distribution, since the cost of the pump is not very high and if this must be changed at a later time the cost of labor will be the yes it did the entire distribution.
